About Us

Neurodiagnostic testing analyzes and monitors the function of the central and peripheral nervous systems and is used to assist providers in determining an accurate diagnosis.

At Universal Neurodiagnostics (UND), we provide interpretation of all neurodiagnostic studies by board-certified neurologists with specific training in the various areas of testing.

Tests we evaluate and interpret

  • Electronencephalogram (EEG): Records the electrical activity of the brain. It may be used to diagnose epilepsy, head injuries, infections, sleep disorders and other problems. This test may be performed on patients who are awake or sleep deprived.
  • Nerve conduction studies (NCS): Nerve conduction studies measure the speed and intensity of electrical signals that travel between the nerves. It may be used to diagnosis carpal tunnel syndrome, periferal neuropathy and other problems.
  • Electromyography (EMGs): An electromyogram (EMG) is a test to evaluate the health of muscles and the nerves that control those muscles. By measuring the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction, it can determine how well those muscles are working.
  • Polysonography/Sleep studies (PSG): are observations of the stages of sleep and the problems that interfere with proper sleep including obstructive sleep apnea or neurological dysfunctions such as narcolepsy and epilepsy.
  • Evoke Potentials(EP): records the electrical activity from the sensory receptions in response to external stimulation, either auditory (BAEP) or visual (VEP).
